Greater kudu. This large antelope lives mainly in the mountainous regions of Chad to Sudan and, at low altitude, from East Africa to South Africa. It is an essentially mountainous species, living in rugged and wooded terrain, and which prefers to remain hidden and discreet in its environment. Its body is streaked with vertical white stripes. Unfortunately, its magnificent horns make it the target of hunters both for trophies and for Jewish ritual blowing during “Rosh Hashanah” (Jewish New Year).<\/p>\n<\/div>
