Conch or Queen Conch. It is the iconic shell of the Bahamas and the Caribbean. It lives in schools on seaweed rich grounds. The conch is highly apreciated for its nutritional qualities and its delicate taste. Until 1994, the conch was the second largest overfished species in the Caribbean behind spiny lobsters. Today severe restrictions are forcing the harvest.<\/p>\n<\/div>
