Emblem of the Pathfinder movement. Robert Baden-Powell is at the origin of the Pathfinder (one that explores untraversed regions to mark out a new route). He held the first experimental scouting camp on Brownsea Island in the summer of 1907, which is considered the birth of the Scout movement in the UK. Scouting is today an international movement found in almost every corner of the globe including 176 Member Organizations. Scouting in Portugal started in 1911 and was among the founders of the world organization of the Scout Mouvement in 1922.<\/p>\n<\/div>
