King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand (1927-2016). Also called Rama IX (ninth\u00a0King of the Chakra Dynasty), he accesssed to the throne of Thailand in 1946 after the ripe death of his older brother Rama VIII. With 70 years as head of the state of Thailand, he graduated the longest rule of modern times.<\/p>\n<\/div>
