King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand (born July 28, 1952 in Bangkok). Also called Rama X (tenth king of the Chakra dynasty), he acceded to the throne of Thailand on 1 December 2016 following the death of his father King Rama IX on 13 October 2016 after 70 years of rule. He is the only son among the four children of the deceased king.<\/p>\n<\/div>
