Common spotted cuscus. This nocturnal arboreal marsupial with a long, prehensile tail and thick spotted fur measures 50 cm to 1 m long and weighs 1.5 to 4 kg. It lives in the forests of south-eastern Australia and New Guinea, an island on which it is very widespread. This nocturnal arboreal animal feeds on plants and small animals and spends its day sleeping in the fork of a tree.<\/p>\n<\/div>
