Spider crab (Maja squinado). This big crab with triangular spiny carapace can measure up to 20 cm for a total weight of 3 kg. It is found in the waters of the North Atlantic and especially along the Guernsey coast. Highly prized for its flesh, it is the subject of intensive fishing.
