Dongola breed horse originating from Mali, Chad and Sudan. This very rare breed is the result of many crosses. It measures approximately 1.5 m at the withers. Initially mounted for war, it is found today in fantasias and popular festivals. There are still Dongola horse farms in the Malian region of Gaman.
