Sea turtle, endemic and emblematic animal species of Colombia. It is the largest hard-shelled turtle in the world. In adulthood, it can reach up to 210 cm. They are found in warm waters around the world. They nest every 2 to 3 years. It is one of four species of sea turtles found on the central Caribbean coast.
