Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacán surrounded by volcanoes on either side. To the right Popocatépetl an active volcano known as “the Smoking Mountain”, and to the left Iztaccihuatl a dormant volcano known as “the white Woman”. The site of Teotihuacán is known today as the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in the pre-Columbian Americas.
