Banded demoiselle. It’s a large metallic damselfly with fluttering, butterfly-like wings. Common in Germany and most of Europe apart from in the north; however, its range is expanding. It is mainly found along slow-flowing lowland streams and rivers, particularly those with muddy bottoms. Its lenght can reach 45 mm.
