Giant conch. With a spiral shell up to 50 cm long, this gastropod lives in coral reefs and shallow sandy bottoms. It is found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean and Brazil. Its shell has long been used as a horn. Today it is a popular decorative object.
