Iago sparrow, also known as the Cape Verde or rufous-backed sparrow. It is endemic to the Cape Verde archipelago. It’s a small sparrow, around 13 cm long, with a wing length of 5.5 to 6.9 cm. It is found commonly in a variety of habitats, including flat lava plains, coastal cliffs, gorges, and the edges of farmland, at altitudes of up to 1,200 metres.
