Birdwing butterfly. Endemic and emblematic insect of Papua New Guinea, it is the largest butterfly in the world. The females can reach a span slightly over 25 cm. This type of insect is found only in the forests of the Oro Province of eastern Papua New Guinea. It is endangered and belongs to the insects which are excluded in international trade.
