Gaulish rooster stylized. It is one of the allegorical symbols and one of the emblems of France. It refers to Gaul inspired by the Latin words “gallus” (rooster) and “Gallus” (Gaulish). Although frequently used as an emblem, especially by sport federations, it has never been retained as the official symbol of the nation.
