Common or white arum, African lily and Bird-of-Paradise flowers. All three are native and emblematic of South Africa. All three are native to and symbolic of South Africa. However, the lily is only found on the rocky sandstone slopes of the winter-rain fynbos of the Cape Peninsula as far as Swellendam.
