Kafue lechwe. This is a subspecies of the southern lechwe. Lechwes are sizeable, long-horned antelopes with a sturdy build. They are endemic to the Kafue Flats in Zambia. They inhabit floodplains bordering marshes and swamps of the southern savanna, from southeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo through Zambia and northern Botswana to Angola. It is listed on the IUCN Red List as vulnerable.
